Foot & Ankle Surgery
Foot or ankle surgery is sometimes a necessity but is almost always considered only as a last resort.
If we can relieve your symptoms and get you back to living your best life through more conservative methods such as custom orthotics, shockwave therapy, physical therapy, or others, we will pursue those options first.
That said, sometimes conservative methods do not yield the results you need, and surgery is the best (or only) way forward for treating a specific problem. When that is the case, Foot & Ankle Center of Oklahoma provides comprehensive surgical care with an emphasis on best results and faster recoveries.
What Foot and Ankle Surgical Procedures Do We Perform?
Many minor-to-moderate surgical procedures can be performed within our office’s comfortable and sterile operating room, while more complex or extensive procedures may need to be performed at a nearby surgical center.
Our doctors have extensive training and experience in a wide range of surgical procedures, including:
- Bunion corrections, including comprehensive Lapiplasty bunion surgery and minimally invasive bunion procedures.
- Hammertoe correction
- Severe flatfoot correction
- Reconstructive surgeries for the ankle, arthritic joints, etc.
- Ankle arthroscopic surgery
- Minimally invasive TOPAZ procedures for relieving chronic pain from tendon and soft tissue injuries
- Ingrown toenail removal
- Removals of plantar warts, corns, cysts, and other skin and nail conditions
Count On Our Surgical Training and Experience
Why should you trust Foot & Ankle Center of Oklahoma to perform your foot surgery?
Dr. Darren Elenburg is a highly trained and credentialed foot and ankle surgeon. He has more than two decades of experience and is dedicated to studying improvements and new techniques as they develop.
After earning his degree, Dr. Elenburg completed a 4-year surgical residency – most podiatrists train for only two or three years. He is board-certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Knight earned his doctorate in podiatric medicine from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, IL, where he was awarded the American Podiatric Medical Association Graduate Merit Award in 2017.
Dr. Knight continued his education with a rigorous one-year internship with the Cleveland Clinic, followed by two more years of surgical residency training in Oklahoma City.
Our practice applies both traditional techniques and advanced surgical procedures to achieve the best results for each of our patients. Our goal is to provide our patients surgical options that are less costly, require fewer incisions or invasive elements, and heal faster than more traditional open surgeries.
