Telehealth Medicine Treatment | Podiatrist, Foot Doctor Oklahoma City, OK 73114 and Yukon, OK 73099
Foot & Ankle Center of Oklahoma is committed to making excellent podiatric care accessible to everyone. For this reason, we offer afternoon e-Visits to accommodate patients who cannot make it in, or prefer not to be treated in-office (providing they do not need immediate or urgent treatment).
Do e-Visits Really Work?
Yes, e-Visits can be quite effective in many cases—particularly for initial evaluations, follow-up visits, and many types of non-emergency appointments.
What to Expect During Your e-Visit
Dr. Elenburg will start by discussing your symptoms and making visual inspections of your feet and ankles. He will also refer to your chart to evaluate any prior diagnostics, review your treatment history, answer your questions, and then diagnose your condition and make treatment recommendations.
If any products or items are prescribed during your e-Visit (or you need refills) we can arrange for you to pick them up curbside at our office so you don’t even need to get out of your car.
How Do I Book an e-Visit with Dr. Elenburg?
To schedule an e-Visit, go to the patient portal on this website. If you haven’t used the portal before to pay a bill, review your health records, or request a regular in-office appointment, create a new account.
Then, use the portal to request a day and time (in the afternoon). We’ll review your request and get back to you to confirm or give you alternate time slots. If you have any problems using the portal, please call our office and one of our friendly staff members will assist you.
How to Prepare for Your e-Visit
Your e-Visit will be simple and stress-free, without the need for any hi-tech equipment or computer skills.
- Use your smartphone, laptop, or desktop computer. Whatever device you use needs to be able to handle a video call and capture/record audio and video.
- Go to the patient portal approximately 20 minutes before your confirmed appointment and log in.
- Click where prompted to begin the appointment.
- Answer a series of questions. It may take a little bit of time to complete this step, so getting it done earlier than your scheduled meeting will allow your video session with Dr. Elenburg to begin on time.
- When you have answered all of the questions, follow the prompt to join the video call with Dr. Elenburg.
Are e-Visits Expensive?
Luckily, most insurance carriers and Medicare now cover telemedicine, so your e-Visit will be billed to your insurance provider as would any office visit.
There is a $60 base fee which is required before you can request an e-Visit. However, if you’ve already been treated in our office and are doing a recheck, this fee may not be necessary. Call our office to check.
After treatment, if your final out-of-pocket portion is less than $60, a refund check will be issued at the end of the month.
Please call our office if you have any questions or need more information about our e-Visit service. When you are ready to make a time slot request, click over to the patient portal.
